She has a multicultural background, being from both the UK and the US, and grew up in South East Asia before moving to Europe for further studies. India has gained a diverse range of creative and corporate experience through various opportunities with distinct designers and companies.

In her work, she focuses on form and visuals, showing an enthusiasm for materials. Craft and making are central to her practice due to the vitality of learning new skills and the ability to communicate concepts visually through prototyping. She believes that objects surrounding us should convey a sense of fun and contribute positively to the design market.

India often revisits nostalgia to create work that emits curiosity and playful charm, collecting motifs and visions to translate into tangible and useful products. She describes her designs as sculptural furniture—pieces that elevate your space and introduce character.

Her influences include iconic designers such as Sergio Rodrigues, Harvey Guzzini, Charlotte Perriand, Léa Mestres, Mario Botta, Louis Poulsen, and Achille Castiglioni.

Integrating unexplored positive materials into commercial design is another passion of hers, as she understands the significant role designers play in creating a more positive future.
